Re: Odd frame VINThanks for the reply. First I’ve seen, in my limited experience, of a year number outside of the 5/6/7 number VIN stream. Unique to certain “C” models vs “CA” we see here? Trying to expand knowledge.
Odd frame VINBuddy of mine has a frame with the following VIN. Does not look altered. Any insights ?
C72-64-4nnnnn. Looking for a C72 engine or at least a genuine top crankcase stamped C72E
Re: Front shock top oringsTo close out this discussion I’m posting my findings. I thought the oring should have been with the bolt in the handlebar view. It appears in the front fork 1 view instead. It’s item 15, 9.4x2.4 mm ,several part numbers shown.
Re: Shock bushing replacementsYes,Tim you are correct. My initial references were for the all rubber bushings. Have not got to that type along with the previously mentioned brake link bushings. Thanks for the input. Will start measurements for that item.
Re: Shock bushing replacementsThis is about shock absorber (dampeners) rubber mounting bushings. I have replaced several “brake link” bushings available on fleabay and through CMSNL andHonda dealers. Will investigate using Urethane in the links later. Would have to burnout the old rubber and knurl or sandblast the metal parts to...
Front shock top oringsSearched forum for this with no hits. Looking for the oring size on the top mount bolt (chromed with washer). holding shock to the handlebar mount. CMSNL view shows bolt and washer but no oring. Bolt part number is 90123268020.
