CVMG Rally in Paris, Ontario

I just got back from riding my SuperHawk to the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group's 33rd Annual Rally in Paris, Ontario (west of Niagara Falls), and for those of you who haven't been, it was an extremely enjoyable experience. The people were great, the selection of bikes was interesting, and the sur...

Re: Speedo Cables

I don't know if you're still looking for a speedo cable (given that your original posting was in Sept. 2004) but I just purchased one from David Silver in the UK. They had to get it from their 'Continental' supplier, which may perhaps be that outfit in the Netherlands, but it ended up costing me abo...

Re: CB77 Charging System...

More news regarding my charging system. We (my mechanic, really) replaced the battery with a better quality one and it seems to be holding at 12.70 volts. Everything is new (new rectifier, NOS alternator and stator and the battery is about 1 yr. old). I have electronic igntion in it. We tried swapping the pink and yellow wir...

Speedo Drive Unit

I've been having trouble with the speedo drive unit on the front wheel of my '66 SuperHawk. It moves around and eventually puts a lovely kink in my speedo cable. I've tightened the axle nut as much as I can without breaking something, and it seems to hold for a while, yet it eventually turns clockwi...

Looking for Ed Moore!

I contacted Michael Stoic regarding cables for my 1966 CB77. He mentioned that Ed Moore can fabricate cables--specifically I'm looking for the rear brake cable. Unfortunately, Michael didn't know how to get ahold of him. Ed, are you out there?????? Please contact me as this is the last thing I need ...
