Did you set the flaot levels correctly? Are the slides synced? There's a good post on here on how to set float levels without measuring. To sync slides, remove air filters and tubes, and slowly turn throttle and watch slides rise. make sure they rise at the same time. if not, ajust them with the bolt and nut on carb cap untill they rise together. It helps to have someone twisting the throttle for you.

air screws 1 1/8 turns out, idle screws adjust to make bike idle at correct rpm when warmed up.

ok i messed with the carb slides they are not in sync i havn't pulled the carbs off yet. i adjsted it but it doesn't seem to make a diffrence the right slide is halfway up before the left slide moves does this mean i need a new throttle cable. there is one liffle spot that looks like its frayed on the cable cover. the bike is running rich..

That's a weird one with the cable. You probably want to disconnect it when it goes 2 into 1 and see if the problem is in there. Make sure the slides are in the correct carbs, cutout facing toward filter, L and R stamped on underside.
