Petrol pipe clamps

Post by toastyhamster » Sat Jan 23, 2010 7:29 am

The fuel tap sits really close to the air filter pipe and I can't get a clamp on it without it rubbing against the pipe. Unfortunately the pipe I have doesn't sit tight enough not to leak so I need to clamp it on. Have I got the air filter pipe on wrong or are people using different clamps/no clamps?

Would safety/lock wire work?

I think it probably would. After I posted this I remembered that I have some used petrol pipe clamps for my RD 350. These are a single sprung wire that clamps to the hose when you let go of them. I think they're the right diameter so am going to try those.
