CL77 Smaller jets

Post by geosar » Mon Feb 07, 2011 7:45 pm

I have been unable to locate any smaller jets for my CL77. Any suggestions. Davo sent me two 120's but they escaped the envelope before they arrived around christmas.

I found some from my local dealer but the threads are incompatible.

I live at 5000 feet and feel that smaller jets will run better. I have 130's in the three bikes I own.

Thank you very much as always.

Smaller jets

Post by GG » Mon Feb 07, 2011 8:27 pm

Hi geosar - I live at 5200 ft altitude, and have had the same problem. LM helped me with jets. If he doesn't have small enough ones, contact Jeff at: http://www.carbparts.com/ You'll need to look at the diagrams for the exact type of jet. I'm at the smallest I can go on the small jets (35) and I'm running 125's in the mains. Still plenty rich! And I'm facing a smog test that I haven't passed yet!

I'm finding that altitude affects pretty dramatically our Keihin carbs. I'm also running a hotter spark plug - seems to help a bit.

I wish you the best!
