Fuel Filter placement - Dream 305

Post by bbap » Wed Jun 01, 2011 10:38 am

Does anyone have a good way to connect a fuel filter from the tank to the carb so that the filter or fuel line does not look messy on the right side? I just can't seem to make it work without bending the fuel line too much or having the fuel line stick out on the right side making it look a little ridiculus.

Any ideas on the filter they are using would also be great. The one I have is about 2 inches long and I think a smaller one would be better. Autozone does not have one any smaller than the one I bought. I could go to the Red ones sold by briggs & stratton, but I like to look inside the filter to check out what's going on.....Thanks! Steve

Your inline filter

Hi there. Here's what I would do; Go to Google.com, click on images at the top left of screen, type " inline fuel filter motorcycle " in the search box, scroll through images until you find something interesting to you and then click on that image. If you are interested in it then look for the link to the website that the image is from. This will tell you the name/brand of the filter and possibly where you can get it. Good luck in your search. I appreciate that and frankly, I forgot to do that :)

Looking for a pic of the routing of the fuel lines from carb through fuel filter to tank. If anyone has a tried/true set up that looks good - much appreciated!
