On my CA77 305 I rebuilt the petcock. After just a few hours fuel was leaking from it still. After taking it off the tank and apart, I must have missed the area that caused my prob. The part that has 4 metal tangs looked as if the tangs were not sticking up high enough to make good contact . I bent them up a bit and also made sure the three mount bolts were good and snug. Seems to be ok so far. Hope this helps someone.
