CB77 throttle cable length

Post by hefyjefy » Thu Apr 03, 2014 1:31 am

Looking for a replacement throttle cable for a 1964 CB77, it has the original bars. The ads I have seen for cables all specify "straight bars" which might mean that the cable will be a bit short. But measuring the original it's very close to 33inches which in turn is very close to the length specified in some of the ads for straight bars.
Bit confused, I definitely want to keep the original bars, and they are not straight.
The sticking throttle wasn't the cable, looks like the left carb slider is a bit sticky, there's a polished high spot...

Just to let you know.
If you have a 1964 C B77 it was issued with Flat/Straight bars. ..........lm

Bit of a newbie here, looking at several images of 1964 CB77 bikes it certainly appears that they have straight bars. Engine number is CB77E .... Does that make a difference?

Go by your frame number (VIN) stamped on your frame for year of issue, not your motor number as the motor may have been changed. Ed gave you the answer for flat bars for a 1964 bike.
