Throttle

Hey gang, what is the trick to stop my throttle from spinning prior to engaging the cable? It is just too loose.

Which model?

CA's (cable inside the handlebar) has an adjuster in the cable near the front of the frame. The others adjust at the grip.

67 305 dream. I called myself trying that . it only made the grip harder to turn as to throttling up. mMy problem is the looseness and spinning backward. Almost feels like it wants to fall off.

Have you taken the grip off the handlebar? Sounds like you could have excessive wear on the slide and/or the inside of the grip.

Looked deep into forum and saw where LoudMouse had told someone long time ago to move the entire thing maybe an eighth inch on handlebars".............It worked. Thanks , OldStan ...you and many others have been a Godsend to me and many others in working on these great bikes!
