ca77 gas tank styles?

Post by dyoung66 » Mon Jul 27, 2015 7:49 pm

I just acquired a 1966 ca77 or so the title says. The question I have is that most of the pics that I have seen have a tank that has a seam in the middle however the tank on my bike has no seam and the fuel cap is in the middle. If anyone can give me some info on this I would appreciate it .

That's an early issue tank, on bikes before frame CA77-310001. You need to go by your frame number to check/approximate the actual year of issue of your bike. For the most part, these bikes were titled in the year they were sold.
