Last Post Before the Checkbook Comes OutJust an updateI bought two nasty looking carbs off of Ebay. They were off of a Super Hawk and upon receiving them I was doubtful they could be brought back. Two days of soaking in Chem Dip did the trick. The mains were 135's and 38 on the slow jet. I put them back up with new gaskets only and to my surprise found the float control needles were rubber tipped. One more check on the timing and points setting. Guess what, no more fouled plugs and very little smoke. The bike is running terrific. Thanks to EMO and all for the input. Life is good again.

Re: CarbsGary, Yes I did. They seem to seal much better. I only used new bowl gaskets and rubber o-rings on the adjustment screws. The rubber tipped float needles were a big innovation in the Triumph world. I am surprised no one is producing for the early Japanese bikes. Sorry about the double post. Coors Light will do that.
