Thats a lot of things that differ from stock/recommended. So i'm not sure that I have any advice worth listening too. I would entirely document the current carb settings so you can return to these as known running configuration... then start with a new throttle cable, move back to stock settings/needles/jets/float, and make slight adjustments until resolution. stock float setting shouldn't induce flooding, so I'm thinking there is something else amiss in there.

Well, I am worried I F'ed up the float adjustment.

I have two law degrees, and I still was baffled by the long discussion/debate over float settings on the forum!

When I take the bowls off, there is gas over the lip of the tilted bowl.

Ie, when you break it open, gas comes out.

Seems like a proper setting should have gas in the bowl up to the front lip of the bowl when tilted as installed, but not over it. Maybe I am wrong about that.

I set it to 23mm, and also eyballed it as per the forum.

Then I backed it off some because of the leaking.

Maybe I just have bad gaskets.

I am loath to touch anything further, as this is the best running the bike has been in three months.
