Carb Float Adjustment Clarification

Questions, questions.....
Are your jet holder and main jet seated in these pics, or are they loose for picture purposes?
I notice what appears to be a ring around you main jet, which usually indicates "late (current) thread" pitch jets?
The set is a pair of 3K-milers, for which I paid US$300 in '08, from a '67 CL77 and re-needled to suit my CB. I've been told, by a higher authority, that -- contrary to 'words in print' -- all carbs' jet threads are JIS; I have yet to discover different, but perhaps I'll pull some jets and observe the pitch. I'll let you know....
That sure would make re jetting easier.
When I bought a handfull of jets initially for my CA, they were all "ringed" and would only screw in a half turn or so before binding up.

i believe they went from JIS old pitch to new ISO pitch, thus the ring
just for fun
I just bought some 5mm JIS (0ld) screws with CL77 pn.
and got new ISO threaded bolts
and no where is the pn changed, no added suffix like A
2 screws,totally diff, .8 versas .9 pitch same part number.
keeps us on toes. LOL
i wonder,do JIS and ISO jets have same height?

I'm not sure which carbs the jets were made for so I don't know if there was a needle jet holder or just into the carb body. ........lm

the bill silvers book covers this IIRC.
but the ring is new ISO threads. and if true, then all jets that size fit.

means ( which metric standard was used) (nonstandard/standard) IIRC
the other confusing fact is there is early and late JIS, (this boggles my mind)
im guessing but late JIS means first conforming ISO threads? dont know for sure.

The pic sure looks to me like a new pitch jet trying to go in an old pitch holder.
I don't know about CB/CL's, but my CA jet tightens into the holder flush to the jet head.
Also looks like the float is higher than the line of sight method (richer)?
