Eljeef,
Here are pics of both screws with lengths.
Note that the MIX screw is shorter, tapered and has a flattened tip.

The MIX screw shown is from a Keyster kit and does not have the deeper groove at the head end for the o-ring shown on the parts fiche.

It should be noted that my Honda Parts Catalogue dated 1973 has the screws reversed in the description, so I'm not sure which part number goes with which screw. I haven't checked online fiche to see if they are the same or not.

My Keyster replacement MIX screw is scratched up from a barb on the spring, so be careful with any replacement springs.

OK, I checked CMSNL, and their fiche has both the screws correctly labeled on the diagram and described in the part number and description.

BikeBandit fiche is the same as my parts book and has the diagram wrong, but the part numbers and descriptions correct as far as I can tell.

OK, let me try to get this straight once and for all; It is the longer screw that I need. What is this screw called and where is it placed in the carb? Btw, thanks for taking the time to photograph and post on this topic for me. Jeff.

The long screw stops the slide from bottoming out and goes perpiendicular into the carb in the rear hole.
you can see the end extend into the inside of the carb

Is that the only function of this screw? If so, then maybe I can straighten mine a little better and it will suffice. Jeff

Yes, thats all it does.
If that is the bent one, you should take the slide out and make sure it is not damaged.
Both screws are included in the Keyster repair kits.
