I have recived the new petrol tap (petcock) it is smaller than the old tap the 2 feed take offs are on the left hand side of the tap were as the old one had the take off on the right hand side, I now find that the new tap out let pipes are touching the carb top I can only use the new tap with it tuned on it's sidewith the lever facing towards the rear of the bike.
The position of the outlet on the petrol tank needs to be further back towards the seat or closer to the edge of the tank.
The old larger tap I took off was a tight fit and was touching the air tube to the carb.
So did Honda make diffrent tanks for the CB77 my bike is 1964 im not saying it is the correct tank it looks ok ?
Is there a way round this problem, I was thinking of filing a little off the side of the new tap on the left hand side by the two outlet pipes so I can rotate the tap so as the lever is faceing towards me and not have it face the rear of the bike.
Any one encounted this problem with the later (see the first posting for the link to the petcock I purchased ) petcock.
And a very merry Christmas to all and a safe riding new year.

That valve isn't near correct.
They sell a couple of items which look close but are not correct for the bikes they list them for. .........lm

Thanks LOUD MOUSE for the fast reply, so back to the drawing board im looking for another original tap (valve) or just the main body the thread has gone and colapsed on the one I have.
I may just give the JB weld a go to repaire it if I can not get a replacment.
So has any one got a petcock, valve, petrol tap what ever you wish to call it for a 1964 CB77 they wish to sell I live in the UK.
Thanks.

He shows the valve he bought from "siriusconincnosparts" that looks good until you try to instal it in the first question he asked.
Take a look. ............lm
