I'm rebuilding the carb off my Dream. The original jets were 120/35 but the rebuild kit is 130/40. I read a post that matched these specs where LOUD MOUSE said to reinstall the original jets. Is that still recommended? Also, my float valve set is marked "2.5" but the replacement is marked "2.0". Should I still with the old float valve set as well?
Thanks!!

Re: CA77 Carb Rebuild - Float Valve?
Use the original set as the ones in the kit will be rather rich at idle and speed. Don't worry about the float valve. And as this kit isn't near correct I recommend ya use the old needle. At least ya got a valve and bowl gasket. .......lm

I wish I would have read this a day earlier. I just did the rebuild last night. Unfortunately, I used the main and slow jet. Yes - it runs like crap, but seems to be lean. When I turn on the choke while riding the engine picks up and smooths out a bit. I am using one of those crappy steel mesh Ebay filters (only because I can't find something better), but it wasn't running so lean before the rebuild.
Oh well, carb back apart and I'll use the old parts.
Btw - the float bowl gasket isn't worth a damn either. The corners are too squared off and it doesn't fit on mine anyway. The only thing I'll end up using is the O-ring (which is borderline) and the float valve.
