Hey all,
I have an intermittant problem and I am not sure if it is just a regular problem with the model.
My CA77 will run fine with the fuel tap on Reserve, but if I run it switched to "on" it will occasionally starve of fuel, usually when I am giving it stick.
I have stripped the tap down and there are no blockages in the tap at all.
The only thing I can think of is that the reserve inlet is lower than the "on" inlet and thus has a slightly greater pressure....
So is this a regular issue that I have to live with or is there a fix?
Apart from replacing the tap with a fast flow tap of course.
Cheers,
Greg

Re: Starving of fuel somehow
YOU ARE CORRECT THAT THE RESERVE INLET IS LOWER IN THE TANK THAN THE ON INLET.
HAVE YA REMOVED THE UNIT AND CHECKED THE INLET TO SEE IF IT'S OPEN/PLUGGED?. ........lm

What I did is:
I removed the tap, dissassembled.
Visually checked for obvious blockages, I coule see none.
I soaked the metalic pieces in carbi cleaner for an hour to make sure, then blew it all out with compressed air.
Then I reassembled and blew compressed air through again.
Reinstalled.
The same problem occured.
Could it be that my bike could do with a tune, and thus is using more fuel than it should?
I have tuned it myself, but I have never had it done professionally (and I don't really want to either)
It rides pretty well. Top speed is around 110km/h (68 mph) It does occasionally give a small pop, but I put that down to the fact it needs a new seal between the left exhaust and header pipe.
