carb goes where?

Post by djohns » Wed Nov 24, 2010 12:39 pm

Trying to get carb on the right bike. Carb is round bowl design, 22mm dia., no drain screw and C77B (not CB77) stamped on flange. My CA72 is 63' ser # 311568, my CA77 is 64' ser # 102241. Mr. Silver's book goes on to tell descriptions for those year ranges but does not specify that CA72 carbs were stamped 72 and CA77's stamped 77. Parts were "exchanged" between the two bikes by PO. By concensus should the carb go on the CA72 even though the carb is stamped C77B ?

Can you post a picture of the carbs?
