CA 77 Carb Adjustment???

Post by cushmanscooter » Mon Aug 05, 2013 7:25 pm

Hey Guys, Just a question or two about adjusting carb on my Dream 300. IF I CHOOSE TO RUN WITHOUT BAFFELS------BAFFLES REMOVED, do I need to make any changes to carb setting. If so, WHAT CHANGES?? Thanks, Hal

You are new to the list and ask a question.
Any reason you haven't included your location when you joined to get help? ..............lm

Hey Guy, Odd that you should waste your time and mine by answering my question with a question. Especially since your reply has no relevance to my question. Thought I had filled out all the info needed to use this site. But I will admit I am not real computer smart. I am in Decatur, Alabama. Hope this will satisfy you if it will help to get my question answered. If you need other info, i.e. weight, shoe size, etc., please let me know. Thanks, Hal

It should run fine without the baffles as long as you have a stock air filter. The concern would be that it would be a little too lean, so I would just listen for pre-ignition (pinging) and check your plugs after a few miles. I've run mine without the baffles and really couldn't tell a difference except in the sound. The Dreams sound pretty good though with the baffles in though, why do you want to run without them? and we'll need your Zodiac sign before we can answer any more questions...

To 488lesco, Thanks for reply and info on my question about NO BAFFLES. I just tend to like the dreams with a little louder sound/roar with baffles out. Many thanks. I will ride some and check plugs. P.S. The BLUE light lens polished up well and looks great!! Thanks and "Keep 'Em Rollin' " Hal

So ya got a reply and are pleased especially after your attitude reply to my question about your question.
You took some time to reply with a answer that may show your attitude but didn't take the time to add your location to the forum listing (would take to long?) and did add it in your reply.
Be aware there are some on this forum who want/will help with new members much easier when you show your location when you join this forum.
May not matter to you about us knowing where you are located but the proof is that all to many times you/we find others close enough to visit and help each other.
I've been on the forum a long time and have had the pleasure of having new members join and I/we see they are near me and we get together and cure all kinds of bike problems.
To this I offer the feller (Eric in San Antonio) is bringing his CB77 this Saturday and I'll work with him to fix a wiring problem.
Have any smart reply to this throw it out.
It's your attitude which will help or hinder you on this forum. ............lm

I would expect nothing less from a typical TEXAN. Be advised, I tried several times to put the info that you desired into my profile with no success. I apologize for not having the computer expertise that meet your standards. Regards, Hal
