I do have a performance problem in top gear at 4,000 RPM = 50MPH and 5,000 RPM = 60 MPH on a flat road if I open up the throttle to full the engine will not rev it seems to be a lack of fuel closing the chock makes no difrence and opening the petrol tank cap to see if I have a vacume in the tank so im looking at upping the main jet to 140 from 135 I have two new 135 mains so can I open up them to 140 I understand GMan says I need a 1.4mm drill please can you confirm GMan.
Im running STD gearing 15T/30T at the moment so I have a 14T engine sprocket on order so I will give that a try to see if it will rev more in top gear.
Ho and GMan it's still dripping oil on the right side not a lot so after some 2 years and 2 strip downs and many many oil seal changes im going to live with it, the old girls just a little incontinent with age at least it's on parr with my 1964 Triumph now.
