Carburetor stuck on full throttle - CA77
Carburetor stuck on full throttle - CA77[ Posting for newly registered user - Msmall1154 ]
Carb at full throttle on 63 Honda Dream after reassembled I took my carb apart on my 63 Honda 305 dream CA77. When put back together it is stuck at full throttle. What did I screw up? Michael Small

Re: Carburetor stuck on full throttle - CA77If I remember correctly, it is easy to have the throttle slide rotated around the wrong way (about 180 degrees). This makes the throttle slide sit much higher than the idle screw and results in high revs. You should be able to tell by the amount of travel in the twist of the throttle.
Thanks.

Re: Carburetor stuck on full throttle - CA77I once had a throttle slide stick because the nuts on the mounting studs were unevenly tightened. Apparently this can warp the carb body. You could loosen the nuts and see what happens when you turn the throttle.
Re: Carburetor stuck on full throttle - CA77I've done both, at least once, when working on my '64 CP77 - what Muddy describes in his post and Tim in his.
