Dream 250 Carb settings

Post by 206rider » Thu Feb 09, 2012 7:08 pm

I am hoping you all can give me a base line for my carb. I have a early model 1963 CA72 that has 2MM oversize pistons making it a 267cc. I think the needle is stock size and on the middle notch, the needle jet is #115 and the slow jet is #35. I have stock mufflers and a UNI pod air filter. Overall, the bike runs pretty good. It starts and idles nice but seems kind of flat when running half throttle or more. Maybe I'm just expecting too much from my little bike? Do the settings seem right? The spark plugs don't have enough miles on them to get a good read, but if I was to guess I would say they are perhaps on the lean side. Thanks for your input.
