Left carb - long cutout point inward, short cutout faced out.

Right carb - long cutout inward, short cutout out

Each slide will have a angled area at the bottom.
That will always face the open end of the carb not toward the engine. .........................lm

Hey man. Anyone who is good at anything effed it up many times before they got there.

I do recommend, though, that you make use of a digital camera for your posts. Everything is clearer in pictures.

If ya were able to turn it 180 and it slides in it means the KEY in the carb which keeps the slide in position is gone. .????????????. lm

The key is there, but I had it in with the short cut out inwards and the long one out.

It kept the slide from bottoming out. It went in fat enough to put the cap on.

Stopped about 3/4 of the way in.

Turned it around and all is well.
