Will a bike idle with both slide screws all the way out?

And if not, does that mean I am idling on the main circuit, rather than the slow jet?

My bike won't idle unless the slides are not bottomed out.

They have to be pulled up a little with the side screws, or the top screws for the bike to idle.

This makes me think I am idling on the main circuit, rather than the slow jet.

Sorry for the stupid question.

Trying to eliminate things one by one.
