1965 CA77 fuel line into carb... does this look right?...

Post by rzgkane » Mon Apr 09, 2012 8:10 pm

Below is a pic of the fuel line going from the petcock to the filter. I just replaced the crusty old brown vinyl line with new and for the first time I can see the fuel in the line. There is an air pocket in the line midway and I don't know whether there should be or not.

The bike runs perfectly (sorry Jlovvorn) so I'm assuming this does not represent a problem, but I am still curious why the line is not full of fluid. Does the top of the fuel level in the line correspond to some level in the carb? It seems too high for that to be the case.

Sorry if this is one of those "you gotta be kidding me" questions. Just not a carb expert. My generation is all about pulse-width and fuel pressure.
