CA cross over tube routing?

Post by OldStan » Mon Jun 04, 2012 10:10 am

What is the proper way to route the crossover tube on a CA78? With the clam-shells in place I can't figure the best way without interfering with the choke lever.

Mine goes under the carb spacer (between the bowl and head) with a little slack and doesn't interfere with the lever. The choke lever comes out behind the hose. I think if the tube was too short it may interfere. I can get a pic tonight if you need one.

Thanks guys!! I haven't actually installed the tank permanently, fighting leaks in the fuel shutoff assembly ( have been testing it off the bike.) There must be a trick for getting it off without a fuel mess. I may just cap the crossover outlets temporarily, until I'm sure my leaks are licked. I'd do it permanently, but it looks like you'd loose a lot of your usable fuel capacity.
