cb77 rear shock seal

took the covers off my rear shocks and found they could use a rebuild...does anybody have a source for the oil seal?

they are the early style shocks if it matters, just the specs on the seal would be a tremendous help too...

When and if ya can get the keeper off the shaft end ya will see numbers. (maybe). .........lm

Take them to a bearing house, they should be able to measure/cross to a current size.

good news...made a tool and managed to get the oil seal nut off without trashing it.

bad news...figured out that the damper rod portion of the shock is bent.

good news...i have 4 spare rear shocks (the non-rebuildable/later type) and found one with a good damper rod

bad news...still have to figure out how to remove the damper valve at the end of the rod.

hoping the internals are the same for both shock types...
