C72 gearbox fitting into CB77 ?

Post by neale didcock » Wed Oct 21, 2009 9:04 am

Greetings,
I hope that someone can help me with the answer to whether a gearbox from an early C72 will fit into my 1964 CB77 , I know the ratios are different but I cannot really see any other differences. The reason for this question is that the 'box on my bike is well worn out , the usual kickstart shaft etc etc !!
Another question is about silencers for this model, I have seen a few reproductions advertised , but are they the poor quality jobs I have seen from Thailand?
Thanks in advance fom a new member to this excellent site.
Cheers Neale.
