CA77 clutch actuator/adjuster sloppy

Post by OldStan » Thu Aug 26, 2010 1:05 pm

When I pulled my right side cover off I checked my clutch actuator. The outside housing is cracked. There wasn't any seal on it. My concern is that the center section that the cable attaches to is quite a bit smaller than the bore of the housing. As best as I can measure it's about .070" smaller than the bore. Is this normal? Would having the seal on it center it? I'm trying to figure out if I have mismatched parts or something missing (other than the seal.)

I think this may have contributed to a major oil leak I have by shoving the clutch rod sideways against the seal, but that's just a guess.
