scrambler clutch cable

Post by abert51 » Tue Mar 29, 2011 8:59 am

I am having just a bit of frustration trying to fit a new clutch cable to my 1967 CL77 scrambler. The new on I ordered is installed but in order to get it to reach from the left handlebar to the trans case I had to route it OVER the spine of the frame. I anticipate that this will inerfere with tank installation. Any suggestions as to the correct length and correct routing for the clutch cable?? Sources for the purchase of yet another cable with the right length. Thank you all for any response Big Al

Big Al, on my 66 the cable goes to the right side of the speedo, through the Rt side fork/ steering stem along the right side of the frame under the tank. It works quite well. If you need a cable try retrobikes@olypen...............................D
