front sprockets

Post by Dana01 » Wed Apr 27, 2011 7:18 pm

I'm trying to replace my front sprocket (15t), but having trouble finding one (sprocket specialists are back ordered). However there are a few 14t's on eBay.

I'm not going to race the bike, but I usually do a fair amount of freeway cruising which is why I wanted to stay with the 15t.

If I go to the 14t front, will I lose much high end speed? or will I gain more oomph by putting each gear higher up on the RPM curve?

Opinions?

I'm pretty sure I have a new 15t sprocket. I can check tomorrow if you are interested.

$20 shipped.
