I pulled a carb this morning before work, and took a quick float reading.
I think they are just too high.
But if I lower them to spec, the carbs both leak like crazy.
Maybe my gaskets are shot.
I am going to set them to spec tonight, and run with the leaks going for a bit and see if it can either confirm this is a problem or start a flash fire....
50MPH stall, then transmission won't work
It's alive!
Changed bowl gaskets and reset float to spec.
Changed air filters to K&N, and used plumbing clamps to ensure seals at both ends of rubber tubes.
Moved needles to 2nd setting, rather than 3rd.
Fixed right hand slide in backwards (I know - what an idiot)
Replaced stock screws and threw out keyster replacement parts.
Seems to run better than ever and will idle reliably at 1200-1400.
No longer stalls after an extended run at high RPM.
Could my bike actually be running? I don't know what to say except thanks to everyone that helped, and everyone that tolerated all my posts.
Here it is at idle http://www.sendspace.com/file/n7rvgg
