Hello,
Had my CB77 superhawk for about 2000 miles now and I'm pretty sure the drive chain needs to be tightened, seems loose at best and dangerous at worst. I'm kind of embarrassed to reveal the amount of slack! Couldn't find the specs by searching the forums, but tracked down a service manual and saw Slack - 9~13 , .3 - .5 , but it doesn't specify units. I'm assuming 9~13mm and .3-.5" right? I also looked in a CA77 owner's manual, which recommends .4-.8" and goes into some further detail on how to tension it.
For wheel alignment, the marks on the frame aren't really visible anymore. Should I just use the standard method of finding the area on chain with the least slack, loosening the axle nut and tightening each tensioner 1/4 turn at a time until desired tension is achieved, then tighten down the axle nut?
Thanks.
