This may be redundant- I lubed all of my new cables to reduce any potential friction.
Also check the clutch actuator- clean & regrease if necessary.
It is possible that a PO may have installed a "racing" spring kit.
I do remember a post (may have been Teazer) that covered the details of clutch springs & included
the dimensions.
