Do you still have the 6305 bearing you took out? I have just checked my bearing which is 17mm and judging by the condition of it and the remainder of the engine it is original fitment. The 6206 at the other end of the shaft is 16mm which is correct.

If this helps, the 6305 I pulled out is 17mm and the 6206 is 16mm which are original as the cases haven't been split before. Replaced with same dimensioned bearings.
