The cush drive clutch has/came with all the best clutch HONDA used for these engines.
No need to replace anything with what you have. ...........lm

Any Ideas?

As my clutch slipped on maximum power I do feel that something must be at fault. If my clutch springs have been compressed for 50 years is it not reasonable to expect them to be weakened?

Do what ya want.
If I can use every part you have and clean and machine the outer basket and reface the pressure plate and use all those parts after the steel plates are wire wheeled (in your case) than you juut may need to replace springs.
Those are the ones I clean and when I've done as I described I sell that clutch (all used and machined and blasted for $160.00 and all buyers are really happy when they install and use that clutch.
Do ya really think it was adjusted correctly?...............lm.

I think it is adjusted correctly, I had plenty of free play on the cable and the slot on the big alluminium screw lined up with the mark on the case. It only slips when I really turn on the power.
