Would that cause it to jump into gear?

Thanks,
Will

I've had the kick shaft rotate and lock up the trans when the lever isn't installed.
It's different when the engine is running than just turning the rear wheel.
You are welcome to visit.
Please do. ..............lm

LM,

Actually, the guy hasn't sent me the kickstart lever yet, so it's not installed. In watching closely, the lever shaft doesn't appear to move as I spin the wheel on the stand.

I know that with the limited info I'm able to provide, this is really tough for you guys to diagnose. Was hoping it might be a common symptom you've seen before. I am going to proceed with all the other steps I need to do in order to get it running (oil, carbs, new battery, etc), and then see if this is still an issue.

LM, I see you're in Kerrville….maybe I will have a chance to meet you if you attend the Harvest Classic in Luchenbach in October…I plan to go this year.

Thanks for the help on this.

Will
