Cb77 kick-start coverCb77 kick-start coverI have a 69 superhawk and I've been trying to get the clutch to work. The lever pulled hard and the gears would grind when I tried to engage. I took apart the kick-start cover and noticed some slack in the adjuster. I got a new adjuster and I'm trying to put it back together and I noticed the adjuster hits the magneto when I pull the cable a little bit. I tried adjusting it but I don't get anymore slack out of the cable. Is this a common thing?

Turn cable adjusters in all the way. On right case loosen the bolt with a 10mm wrench. Turn the large gray adjuster left/right a couple of times. Turn it right to stop then back 1/8 inch. Adjust the lever for apx. 3/8-1/2 inch slack. .............lm '62 CB77. "It's a rider."
