Front sprocket problem

Post by ~Aron~ » Wed May 06, 2009 8:39 pm

I got a set of sprockets and chain from rusty riders the rear sprocket fit fine and chain is right. But the front sprocket does not want to slide on the main driveshaft. My bike is a 67 CL77, are there different driveshaft or spline sizes or is it just being stubborn?

Thanks -

Thanks for the quick reply LM

Is the sprocket the same across all models CA/CB/CL/77/72? just dependant on late or early model? I'm going with a 15 -34 combo.

CAs used a 525 chain, the CB and CLs are 530, and the spline change is for all models. You'll need to find a front for the shallow splines.

Thanks for the replies, Seems the late shallow spline is a little harder to find in a 15t. And more expensive.
