clutch cable difference?

Post by ~Aron~ » Wed Jun 10, 2009 8:39 am

I got a replacement clutch cable from retrobikes and where it threads into the housing by the clutch the threads on the cable adjuster are too small. Was there different sizes in different years? The threads in my housing match the threads found on the cable adjuster at the handle.

The end at the engine is a smaller thread than the one at the lever end. I think the 350 bike had the same size threads at both ends. ..........lm

Odd. The cable I got is right then. My bike must have had the wrong cable and someone must have drilled and made the threads larger. Thanks for the info.
