Dose anybody else have trouble finding neutral. I can't remember if it was hard to find neutral, seems to want to go straight to second.

neutral

Question should be does anybody not have trouble finding neutral. It apparently takes some finesse.

Neutral

I've found that finesse, a well adjusted clutch, and clicking it into neutral while I'm still rolling works well................................D

click up into second and then just a tap. ive never gotten it from first right into neutral. i need to master this finesse move while rolling as it would help with me hand signaling at intersections i have to full stop at. (CA)

My only chance at shifting into neutral is to downshift to first with the clutch pulled, brake until the bike is at walking speed and then gently prod the shift lever up to ease it into neutral while continuing to lightly brake. There's a sweet spot where the speed is juuuust right to allow neutral to happen. If I'm lucky I can find neutral before stopping. Works maybe half the time. Of course, at stop lights I keep it in first.

Regarding this business with the clutch and its effect on hand signals at intersections....yeah, it's a little problem. If there's somebody across from me and I want to make sure they know I'm turning left, I let them know with my RIGHT hand. It looks strange, but at least they NOTICE it because it looks odd.
