Clutch Adjustment HELP!!!

Post by ericmanuel » Sat Aug 01, 2015 6:29 pm

Hey Guys,
I was adjusting the clutch on my 64 CA77 today. I removed the locking bolt, and adjusted the slotted clutch adjustment point. When I went to screw in the locking bolt it is not catching to be able to screw in.

Kind of crazy. I just unscrewed it. Looked online and was unable to find a thread to address this. I imagine I have to remove the side cover and figure it out.

Any insight/help would be greatly appreciated.

To adjust the clutch you don't REMOVE that bolt.
Now you will need to remove the cover and start the bolt in the U shaped keeper. ................lm

Clutch Adjustment HELP!!!

Post by ericmanuel » Thu Aug 06, 2015 11:17 am

Hey Guys,
just a quick update!!! After removing the muffler, lessening the header the side cover comes right off. Was able to reassemble the adjusting screw. put it all back together. Then loosen(not remove) the adjusting bolt and adjusted the clutch. I turner a 30 second adjustment into a several day ordeal.

Thanks for your help.
