CL77 Pressure Plate Movement

Post by uadmlj1 » Sat Nov 12, 2011 6:08 pm

I've got the left crankcase cover off. I just replaced the clutch cable and am trying to get it adjusted. About how much travel should I see in the pressure plate with the clutch fully dis-engaged?

I've never had the clutch cover off and checked how much the pressure plate moves when you fully disengage the clutch. I'm sure if you have your clutch cable adjusted properly, correct lifter rod and bearing installed, you will be fine. How much movement are you seeing?

Pressure Plate Movement

Davo,

When I pull in the clutch lever to full stop, the plate moves out more than an eighth and less than a quarter of an inch. I was just wondering if this was enough to properly dis-engage the clutch.
