Foot Peg Mount Bolt/Nut

Quick question. Got a replacement foot peg mount for my cb77 and I'm trying to take the mount off, pictured here...



Does the bolt that that big nut attaches to go all the way through the swingarm and frame? If so, that means I have to take the long bolt all the way out and risk the swing-arm falling off if i wanna remove the right-side foot peg mount, right?

Also, anyone know the exact socket-size of the nut on the left and bolt on the right? Right side seems to be about 20mm, left side is bigger though. Gotta get the right socket cause the position makes it kinda difficult to use a crescent wrench.

Yes , The swingarm bolt head is 21mm, the nut is 23mm. Make sure you get a thin wall or chrome socket for the nut. The thicker impact sockets sometimes wont go all the way on the nut.

Ok. So does the swingarm just fall out and get really awkward when you remove that bolt? Do you have to take a bunch of other stuff off to get the right-side foot peg mount off? Is there anything to watch out for when you remove that long bolt?

It may go out of align , but it shouldnt fight to much to get it back into position. If it worries you, grab a piece of round bar the same size as the bolt(or slightly smaller) and push the bolt out with it from the left to keep everthing in line. Then push the rod back out when you reinstall the bolt with the new bracket on it
