Some methyl ethyl ketone, or MEK should do the trick on getting the liner out. I picked mine up at an Ace Hardware. Let it soak for a while (48 hours), and adding bolts and what not to periodically shake during the soak will aid greatly.
DO NOT let it touch ANY paint. Otherwise it's done for.

The shaking was air tight for me. It was the pouring of things. There always seem to be an inevitable drip or two.

I just used the gas cap. It was incredibly tight trying to remove. Possibly expanding gasses from from the reaction with the liner. It was an aftermarket cap, so I don't know how much of a difference there is if you have OEM.
sdaigle240 wrote:WELL HOW DID YOU SEAL THE GAS CAP AREA? I'VE GOT THE PETCOCK PLUGGED NICELY. (oops caps) but obviously the gas cap is vented, and due to the 2 notches in the tank i wasnt sure what to use.
thanks
