Removed Right Side Cover

Spent two days spraying the case screws with PB Blaster, still could not get them to budge. Drilled the heads off and this is what I found.

What should I use to lubricate the clutch lifter and the kick starter shaft? I'm thinking white lithium grease.

I have always used bearing or all purpose grease. I feel its heavier and stays put longer.
Just get a can at the auto store or Wally World. Not expensive, and always useful.

I would recommend disassembling and cleaning the clutch lifter and kick shaft/spring assemblies in the right side cover and packing with moly grease. Send some cable lube down the clutch cable too while you have it apart. Make sure the ball bearing is in the lifter assy. I like to put a little moly grease on the sprocket and splines too.

all purpose grease

No offense, but all purpose means "can do everything, not the best for anything"

Kick starter with lithium bases grease, clutch lifter with engine oil (no grease).
Clutch lifter mechanism with lithium based oil, but a better option is molykote (lithium based grease with graphite).

If you make a mixture with 1/2 part engine oil and 1/2 part molykote, you can use this for cables.

It's wise to take off the front sprocket and clean the splines of the main shaft and inner part of the sprocket. Then take a chain grease (the one you have to warm up before making it soft) and apply to the splines before you assemble the sprocket.
