Gearchange linkage clevis pin size

I recently bought a new Gear change lever for cb72 (24711-268-030) the linkage hole is 8mm internal, much smaller than the bike's Rod join clevis diameters at 9.4mm. I suspect that the linkage may have been drilled out for larger pins to take up wear. I'm reluctant to modify the new part. Would someone be able to let me know what the original clevis pin diameters would have been please? Thank you.
