timing and alignment during rotor and stator assembly

Post by big-b » Sat May 07, 2011 8:32 pm

Is there any particular alignment to be concerned about during assembly of the rotor and stator? The picture shows the relationship of the two parts before disassembly.

I think it's impossible to get it wrong. The rotor is keyed to the shaft, and the stator only fits properly in the correct orientation.
