Problem with timing points plate, anyone see this before ?

Have you just replaced the cam chain ? I had a similar situation and turns out I had the chain one tooth off from the correct position and could get the correct plate position but only with the screw out.

i used the stock cam chain and it is most definitely installed correctly. interesting take on the problem tho wouldn't have ever considered that one. thanx for the help..

Worn cam chain? or machined some off the barrels or head perhaps?
