Battery tray solution

Post by Brikrey » Thu Nov 28, 2013 11:05 am

Have just acquired 67 Dream... Not running... Bought site unseen... Lesson learned...just getting started on this project... And looking forward... Battery tray missing... Part in good condition seems hard to find... I have read through much of these forums and haven't seen this raised... Sorry if I am reintroducing topic.... Looking for solution for missing tray.... Have others found trays, intended for other bikes, that work? Grateful for any help or advise?[/img]

The battery tray is spot-welded to the frame. You may need to cut one off a donor frame.... The removable tray is for the tool pouch above the battery......

In my SS50 i put a 12v battery, wont fit the batterytray (because it is made for a 6v), so i taped off the + and the - and put a cloth around it to prevent it from damaging the inside of the frame, and it cant move now. Maybe a good alternative.
